Broker/Customer Account Profile

Before you can enter trade tickets, the other party with whom you trade must be entered.

Code Unique Identifier; Mandatory
Short Name A unique name to identify the other party throughout the system; Often codes are dictated by a back-office system, so this field provides a handy mnemonic way to identify the other party; Mandatory
Name Full name of the other party; Mandatory
Parent Parent group for account.
Address Address
Salesman Trader or salesman responsible for the other party, if applicable
CUSIP Institutional ID number
SIC Code Party’s SIC Code
Type The general type of account: Broker, Customer, Issuer, HOUSE.  HOUSE represents a temporary holding place used while allocating.
Sub Type A more specific type, often used to segregate reports by classes (taxable vs. tax-exempt parties) (*user defined lookup table)
Tax ID Federal Tax ID number
Federal Tax The Federal Tax Rate, if applicable
Gains The capital gains tax rate, if applicable
State Tax/In The party’s state of domicile, and the marginal tax rate, if applicable
W9 Received Indication if form was received by back-office
Perm Exempt Exemption indicator
